A bird-watching theme will feather the nest of two Dark Reading community members whose winning entries took the honors in our September cartoon caption contest! First place – and a $25 Amazon gift card – goes to geriatric for the winninig caption, penned below by cartoonist John Klossner.

Coming in a close second was Robert Thompson, aka clone13, a compliance officer at Bayview Solutions. Thompson won a $10 Amazon gift card for his clever “Bird watching used to be a thing, but live tweeting changed everything.”

Many thanks to everyone who entered the contest with all their clever puns and observations, and to our loyal readers who cheered the contestants on. Also a shoutout to our judges, John Klossner, and the Dark Reading editorial team: Tim Wilson, Kelly Jackson Higgins, Sara Peters, and yours truly. If you haven’t had a chance to read all the entries, be sure to check them out today.
