More than a quarter of survey respondents cited excessive cost as the biggest negative when it comes to data deduplication, followed by management (21%), performance (20%) and compliance/data integrity issues (17%). The exciting news is that only 9% of participants pointed to reliability concerns as the major drawback, which means data consistency and related issues may be becoming less of a deterrent to dedupe deployment.
