HelpSystems Acquires Data Security Firm Vera

The purchase is intended to increase London-based HelpSystems' file collaboration security capabilities.

HelpSystems has announced the acquisition of cloud-based data protection provider Vera. According to the announcement, HelpSystems plans on Vera extending its capabilities in data security and protection throughout customers' full data life cycle.

Vera's services provide encryption, auditing, file security, and other functions for data stored in a number of public and private clouds to make cloud-based collaboration more secure. HelpSystems, with services and products in process automation, security, document management, compliance, and other areas, will add Vera's capabilities to its existing offerings. 

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
