LAS VEGAS -- BlueCat Networks, the leading provider of DNS, DHCP and Enterprise IPAM Appliances, and StillSecure®, provider of an award-winning, integrated suite of network security solutions, today announced a partnership centered on network access control. BlueCat and StillSecure have integrated BlueCat’s Adonis DNS/DHCP Appliance with StillSecure’s Safe Access™ NAC solution for better “command and control” over endpoint devices accessing the network. To formalize the partnership, StillSecure has become a member of BlueCat’s Technology Partnership program.

The BlueCat Adonis appliance enables administrators of enterprise networks to dynamically assign leased IP addresses to users across the network. When used with StillSecure Safe Access, IP addresses are only given to devices that have been pre-tested for policy compliance and deemed safe to access the network. This process simplifies management of IP-based networks, resulting in increased efficiency and decreased administrative costs.

Safe Access’ flexible architecture and multiple testing methods, including agent-less, ActiveX, and the StillSecure Posture Agent, enable the full range of endpoints to be assessed, regardless of connection methods and OS versions. Safe Access controls network access for virtually all types of users – including managed and unmanaged, foreign and internal, remote, and wireless endpoints.

“Because of the explosive growth in mobile and wireless technology, IP address assignment needs to be integrated with powerful features such as pre-admission network access control to ensure that devices are safe to access the network no matter where they’re connecting from,” said David Berg, Director of Product Management, BlueCat Networks. “StillSecure Safe Access makes it easy for companies to implement NAC because it’s flexible and infrastructure-agnostic so it integrates seamlessly with products like Adonis.”
