PRESS RELEASE

PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 2, 2011 – Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), the nation’s largest residential Internet Service Provider, announced today it has introduced new Internet safety solutions and resources for its Xfinity Internet customers for no additional fee. Timed to coincide with Internet Safety Month, the company’s new desktop application, called the Constant Guard Protection Suite, is a $360 value and helps customers secure their personal and financial information from cyber criminals better than ever before.

The application serves as a simple and convenient way to access all of Comcast’s online security resources including the top-rated Norton™ Security Suite, a Secure Backup & Share service as well as the new Identity Guard' identity theft protection service.

“We know consumers are increasingly concerned about online identity theft,” said Cathy Avgiris, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Communications and Data Services for Comcast Cable. “By adding identity theft protection to our Constant Guard Security Suite arsenal, Comcast now offers the most comprehensive online security protection of any major Internet service provider in the U.S.”

Recent studies underscore the importance of online safety. According to a survey commissioned by Comcast, 80% of adults are concerned about their personal information being stolen by a cyber criminal. To put that in perspective, a 2010 Javelin Strategy and Research report found identity theft and fraud affected more than 8 million Americans at a cost of more than $37 billion dollars.

Once downloaded and installed on a home computer, the Constant Guard Protection Suite helps:

Protect against malicious software designed to steal passwords and online account information; Secure passwords and conveniently remember them for you; Provide one-click secure login to banks, shopping Web sites and online accounts; Protect credit cards when used online; and Conceal keystrokes of what you type online thereby shielding personal and financial information from being copied or stolen.

Building on its ongoing bot detection and notification efforts, Comcast is also now offering an identity theft protection service from Intersections Inc. Identity Guard', which proactively helps protect customers from identity theft both online and offline. Identity Guard' is available in three levels of service.

The first, called Essentials, is included for no additional cost with an XFINITY Internet subscription and includes lost wallet protection, support from identity theft protection experts on what to do if you’re a victim of identity theft, and online financial tools. Customers can also upgrade their service to include even more protection, such as proactive monitoring and alerts of personal information including Social Security numbers, access to full credit profile and scores, and visibility to public records. Only Xfinity Internet customers can get the Preferred package at a discounted rate of $7.99 a month or a Premier package also at a discounted rate of $12.99 a month as compared to the regular retail price.

Constant Guard, only from Comcast, is the culmination of a multi-year effort to assemble a dedicated team of security professionals, implement best-in-class security software and create a Security Web portal of consumer resources designed to help educate and empower customers to protect themselves online.
