FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Courion® Corporation, the provisioning experts for results-driven operations, today announced its new Provisioning for the RSA SecurID® Two-Factor Authentication solution, demonstrating the importance of integrated provisioning for physical and information technology assets. Through the support for Courion’s Enterprise Provisioning Suite™ solution with RSA Authentication Manager - the enterprise-class management software that powers the RSA SecurID solution - user profiles can now be provisioned directly to the RSA Authentication Manager from Courion’s AccountCourier® user provisioning solution. This helps to automate manual processes for setting up user profiles for RSA SecurID authenticators, such as hardware tokens. It also helps to provide the self-service automation of assigning the authenticator to an individual.

“An effective strategy to protect identities and secure information access enables businesses to build the confidence that corporate data is being accessed securely by customers, partners and employees.” said Stuart Cohen, director of partner development at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. “The strategic partnership between Courion and RSA helps enterprises efficiently and cost-effectively manage the digital identities of diverse constituencies regardless of their location.”

With the support of AccountCourier with RSA SecurID technology, Courion expands its enterprise provisioning capabilities to include RSA SecurID hardware tokens – automatically provisioning hardware tokens to users with proper credentials and clearance based on established user profiles. By leveraging existing corporate information and profiles, Courion AccountCourier provides a fast and secure process for the provisioning of RSA SecurID hardware tokens. This functionality is in addition to the existing provisioning capabilities Courion offers for all enterprise applications.

Additionally, the technical interoperability creates a self-service process for users to set up unique IDs upon receipt of the RSA SecurID hardware token, and enables administrators to quickly remove access allowed by the tokens to reflect changes in employee status or privileges.

“By provisioning user profiles directly to the RSA Authentication Manager, Courion is able to help automate the creation of new profiles for RSA SecurID users, “said Kurt Johnson, vice president of corporate development, Courion. “The creation of a self-service process for users to enter their unique IDs helps to eliminate layers of redundancy and creates a more secure and efficient process for provisioning the physical RSA SecurID authenticators. Additionally, this new offering deepens Courion’s strategic partnership with RSA and further demonstrates the business benefits of technically interoperable RSA and Courion solutions. “
