FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Courion® Corporation, the provisioning experts for results-driven operations, today announced record performance for 2006, including a 38 percent increase in total new sales growth and 43 percent new provisioning sales growth. Much of this momentum was driven by increased customer adoption of its Enterprise Provisioning Suite™ solution and new product and partner strategies focused on growth markets such as access compliance, role management, and addressing the provisioning needs of the mid-market.

In 2006, the company also launched its RoleCourier™ role management solution. RoleCourier is the only role lifecycle management solution on the market that is directly integrated with an automated provisioning solution to handle role and access provisioning as well as remediation. This extension to the Enterprise Provisioning Suite helped drive over 20 percent of 2006 total license sales.

In addition to strong customer demand, Courion continued to receive impressive industry recognition. Gartner positioned Courion in the “challenger” quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for User Provisioning, 1H06(1), while Forrester Research ranked the company as a “strong performer” in the Q1 2006 Forrester Wave™: User Account Provisioning report. Courion also received numerous industry awards for its technology and corporate performance including IT Week’s 2006 list of Top 50 Technology Innovators, and was selected as a finalist for Best Identity Management Solution by SC Magazine.

The company unveiled an ambitious Value Added Reseller (VAR) program to deliver provisioning and identity management solutions to the mid-market. As part of the VAR program, Courion delivered the Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite™ Jump Start Options, specifically designed to address the identity management needs of the mid-market. Courion also announced expanded partner initiatives, including integration with Citrix Presentation Server™ to provide new access compliance capabilities for virtualized application environments.

CONVERGE 06, Courion’s 4th annual customer conference, attracted 165 business and technology professionals, 46 percent of whom were first-time attendees. The conference featured industry-leading corporations such as AARP, Children's Hospital Boston, Compass Bancshares, Federal-Mogul Corporation, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, SunTrust Banks, The Boeing Company, and WellSpan Health speaking on topics such as automated role creation, segregation of duties, provisioning, enterprise single sign-on, password management and more.

“2006 was a landmark year for Courion as the company demonstrated its ability to capture increased market share,” said Chris Zannetos, president and CEO, Courion Corporation. “Our vision for the provisioning and access compliance market was validated by our customers and the industry recognition we received in the past year. By growing at a rate of twice the projected market growth (2), Courion has demonstrated it can successfully compete head-on with the world’s largest software and hardware companies and is emerging as the de facto leader of the provisioning space.”
