Heavy Reading's Ethernet Service Provider Awards to debut in Europe

NEW YORK -- Heavy Reading (www.heavyreading.com), the prestigious market research division of CMP Technology's Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), announced today that its Ethernet Service Provider of the Year Awards for Europe will take place in London on May 3, 2007, at the Business Design Centre.
The awards will be announced at the conclusion of Light Reading's Ethernet Expo: Europe 2007 (www.ethernetexpoeurope.com), the largest Ethernet show in Europe.
After much success with Heavy Reading's U.S. Ethernet Service Providers Awards in New York last year, Heavy Reading looks forward to hearing what service providers in Europe have to offer. "Europe is at the forefront in deploying next-generation carrier Ethernet technologies that support high-performance Ethernet services to meet the needs of on-demand enterprises," said Stan Hubbard, senior analyst at Heavy Reading and the chair of Ethernet Expo: Europe 2007. "Our goal is to recognize operators who are spearheading the paradigm shift from traditional data services toward more flexible, scaleable, and cost-effective Ethernet solutions delivered over a converged network infrastructure."
Ethernet Service Provider of the Year Awards for Europe will be given out for the following categories:
The Market Leadership Award will be given to the service provider that has best demonstrated carrier Ethernet services leadership, based on a broad set of factors.
The Product Portfolio Award will be given to the service provider that provides the strongest Ethernet services connectivity and applications portfolio.
The Innovation Award will be given to the service provider that has demonstrated the greatest sales, marketing, and product innovation
