Imperva appoints Sharon Besser senior director of product strategy

FOSTER CITY, Calif. -- ImpervaR, the leader in application data security and compliance, today announced the appointment of Sharon Besser as senior director of product strategy. Besser brings more than 12 years of experience in developing new data and network security products to Imperva.

He has managed product strategy for leading security vendors including Websense (NASDAQ:WBSN), Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP), and PortAuthority Technologies. Besser also co founded data security vendor PubliCom, which was acquired by COMSEC (TASE: CMSC).

"Sharon Besser has demonstrated the ability to create, deliver, and launch successful new security products for some of the industry's leading technology vendors," said Shlomo Kramer, president and CEO of Imperva. "Sharon will lead efforts to identify, conceptualize, and bring to market new products that will extend Imperva's leadership position in the data security and compliance market."
