SAN JOSE, Calif. -- IPLocks™, whose award-winning software is Keeping Data Safe for companies around the world, today announced the latest release of IPLocks Database Security and Compliance software. This release delivers enhanced data protection, usability, and scalability for Global 5000 organizations.

Improved Vulnerability Assessment Makes Databases Harder to Crack

IPLocks has expanded its database vulnerability assessment to include operating system attributes. With the addition of OS-level policies, another avenue for attackers is effectively blocked. Additionally, IPLocks Vulnerability Assessment policies have been re-designed, clearly identifying best practices and appropriate remediation measures.

“All compliance programs start with an assessment phase to establish a sound infrastructure” says IPLocks CTO, Adrian Lane. “Compliance initiatives like PCI, GLBA, and SOX all proscribe hardened databases requiring vulnerability assessment as the first step before taking on additional database monitoring.”
