BOSTON -- Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM - News), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today introduced the PC Data Protection Suite combining the data backup benefits of Iron Mountain's Connected® Backup/PC solution with the data security functionality of its DataDefense(TM) solution. The integrated suite provides enterprise-control over the PC data protection and recovery process, with complete endpoint security. The Company is currently offering competitive discount pricing for both new and existing customers.

As more and more sensitive company information resides on PCs, laptops, and in remote offices that fall outside the protection of the enterprise's central data center, it is becoming more important for businesses to manage the risks of lost or corrupt data. In addition, new federal, state, and international regulations are requiring companies to take stringent measures to secure private and personal data.

"With the stakes so high, the protection of business-critical and confidential data is now a top priority for companies," said John Clancy, executive vice president, Iron Mountain Digital, the Company's technology business unit. "Iron Mountain's PC Data Protection Suite gives companies the peace of mind that they will always have control over distributed PC data, even if they lose control over the device."

The suite's first line of protection is Iron Mountain's DataDefense solution, which automatically detects and monitors threats, and can encrypt and ultimately eliminate data to prevent its compromise or misuse. The second measure is Iron Mountain's Connected Backup/PC solution, the undisputed number-one solution for automatic backup and rapid recovery of data stored on PCs.
