LAS VEGAS -- Layer 7 Technologies, a leading provider of XML Security and Networking infrastructure for SOA, today announced general availability of its 3.5 Security operating system for its SecureSpan family of Tarari accelerated XML Gateways and Firewalls. The operating system adds new clustered policy and session features for enhanced scalability and manageability.

Current generation XML Firewalls and Gateway products do not support automatic policy replication or session persistence across clustered deployments. This limits their ability to consistently and reliably enforce security policy or protect against session dependent transactional threats. Layer 7's new 3.5 Security operating system adds automatic policy replication, session persistence and multi-gateway monitoring for simplified scaling and management of enterprise XML Firewall deployments.
