PRESS RELEASE

San Jose, CA – February 14, 2011 — LogLogic', the leading IT Data Management Company supporting log management and SIEM, have today announced the release of LogLogic Database Security Manager 4.1 which provides enhanced database security, and greater insight into user activity. Security is enhanced by the inclusion of an integrated vulnerability scanner, which conducts scans for nearly 4,000 potential weaknesses, including tests for operating system misconfiguration issues. Greater insight into user activity is possible thanks to new features that now enable auditing of data values both before and after a change has occurred. By using Database Security Manager to gain a more complete view of IT systems, security policies can be better enforced and regulatory requirements, such as PCI, HIPAA and FISMA, can met.

LogLogic Database Security Manager is used by enterprises to ensure the security of their database deployments, while also allowing for the remote monitoring of activity without the need for costly built-in database auditing features. Database Security Manager includes an extensive rule-base and management dashboard, and is part of LogLogic’s unique Universal Collection Framework – the ability to get any IT data, regardless of format or location.

New in version 4.1 is additional platform support for Sybase and MySQL, enhancing the vision of 360 Insight – the ability to quickly, and easily provide operational intelligence from IT data – to all corners of the IT department. This version ships on our new ‘quad-powered’ appliance platform, or as a software application.

LogLogic Database Security Manager 4.1 offers the following capabilities:

* Integrated vulnerability scanner for greater security * Real-time virtual patching of security vulnerabilities * Host-based agent for full database activity control * Granular policy-based detection & integrated prevention capabilities * Enhanced auditing with pre- and post-edit values * Fully integrated in to our Get.See.Use architecture for compliance and forensic analysis

“The combination of security with data access controls makes this product invaluable to those who need to ensure strict adherence to compliance mandates” said LogLogic CEO Guy Churchward. “Databases are often overlooked when companies begin collecting and logging user activity. LogLogic Database Security Manager puts us at the forefront of collecting all IT data and using it to derive operational intelligence.”

LogLogic Database Security Manager 4.1 is available within the next 30 days. Pricing starts at $17,500. For more information, contact LogLogic Sales or visit: http://www.loglogic.com/database-security.
