Microsoft is set to release eight security patches on April 8 for vulnerabilities affecting all versions of its Windows operating system.Five of the updates, which Microsoft deems "critical," could lead to remote code executions from malicious Web sites. The updates address bugs in Internet Explorer, a pair on Windows and one involving Microsoft Office. The remaining three "important" updates have to do with spoofing and code elevation risks in Windows, and security bugs in Office.
