NEWTON, Mass. -- Cyber-Ark® Software today announced that its award-winning solution for Privileged Password Management (PPM), Enterprise Password Vault™, is now part of the Oracle® Extended Identity Management Ecosystem. Joint Cyber‑Ark and Oracle customers can now benefit from a unified identity management solution for managing and provisioning both personal and shared privileged accounts.

As we enter the third year of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and as auditors have become savvier about investigating companies’ password security practices, Cyber-Ark is fulfilling a pressing need in the market for the extension of traditional identity management solutions. Recent research has shown that companies are hemorrhaging millions each year due to the hidden costs, security risks, lost business and legal liabilities associated with the mismanagement of administrative, super-user or privileged passwords. Until the release of Cyber-Ark's Enterprise Password Vault, organizations had no way to effectively secure, manage, automatically change and log all activities associated with these types of non-personal passwords.

Cyber-Ark's Enterprise Password Vault features vital capabilities designed from the ground up for IT and audit professionals who focus on securing, managing, updating and logging all privileged passwords throughout an enterprise, whether these shared, administrative or super-user passwords exist in routers, servers, databases, workstations or applications. Enterprise Password Vault is the only solution on the market to provide an enterprise-wide view of privileged password activity and has become the de-facto Privileged Password Management solution for Fortune 1000 companies. Customers benefit from Enterprise Password Vault by having complete control over the use of shared privileged accounts, assuring individual accountability, and providing a complete audit trail for regulatory compliance.

“We are excited and proud to be one of a select number of partners in the Oracle Extended Identity Management Ecosystem,” said Udi Mokady, President and CEO of Cyber-Ark Software. “The beauty of this partnership is that it was born in the field and driven by the real-world demands of mutual enterprise customers and prospects. Together, Oracle and Cyber-Ark can cover all challenges associated with personal and privileged identity management threats, such as thwarting insider and outsider threats and helping enterprises meet governmental and industry regulatory mandates.”
