SEATTLE and REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. -- MetaInfo, the leading provider of DHCP-based security solutions, today announced a partnership with Qualys(r) for Network Access Management (NAM) to enable on-demand scanning of hosts. The partnership integrates QualysGuard(r) NAM with MetaInfo's SAFE DHCP(r) architecture to provide real-time scanning of suspect hosts as they request a network address.

MetaInfo's SAFE DHCP currently quarantines all unknown systems until they can be confirmed and deemed safe to access the corporate network. Using the Qualys NAM solution, once quarantined, the Qualys appliance will scan the device. The Qualys scanner appliance is tuned for optimal performance for NAM. The scan data collected by the Qualys appliance is sent to the MetaInfo SAFE DHCP Quarantine Appliance where predetermined rules can be created for determining whether a host will be granted access to enterprise network resources.
