Royal Rip-Off: Fergie's Personal Laptop Stolen In Break-In
Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, finds herself the latest victim of laptop theft
The personal laptop belonging to the Duchess of York was stolen during a break-in at a photography studio in Hertfordshire, U.K.
According to a report inThe Daily Mail, Sarah Ferguson's laptop was stolen from the Black Cat Sound and Vision Studio after one of her aides left it there to have hundreds of "intimate" photographs of Fergie, former husband Prince Andrew, and daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie downloaded and archived.
British authorities say the culprits likely had no idea Ferguson's laptop was in the studio when they broke in last week. It was unclear whether personal data on the laptop was secured, and authorities say it's possible the thieves could sell the laptop without knowing it belongs to the Duchess.
"The laptop contained pictures of her family and friends, as well as snaps taken on her recent travels," a source in the Daily Mail report said. "They are personal images taken by the Duchess, and she desperately wants them back."
"The photographs are of a sensitive nature, so she can't just take them along to her local shop to be printed," the source added.
