Grisoft Announces New CFO
Grisoft, the developer of AVG Internet security software, announced the appointment of Petra Sokolova as its new Chief Financial Officer
MILLBURN, N.J. -- GRISOFT, the developer of AVG Internet security software, announced the appointment of Petra Sokolová as its new Chief Financial Officer. The new CFO joins GRISOFT from RPG, the owner of OKD, the Czech Republic's largest mining company, where she was also acting board chairman.
Previously, Petra Sokolová headed the internal audit department at Patria Finance investment bank and started her career in Schmalbach-Lubeca Group, a leading European supplier to the beverage industry.
"I could not refuse the unique opportunity to join such a dynamic global company with great potential for further growth," said Petra Sokolová. "Coming from a different industry, I am excited to offer my insight and experiences to help expand GRISOFT's growing global presence."
The former Chief Financial Officer, Tomáš Hawerland, became the head of newly established Controllers department. "Our revenues grew more than seven times in the last three years, and we now protect more than 50 million computers worldwide. The whole company transformed from a local company into a global Internet security provider whose visibility and leadership in the market is continually increasing," said Hawerland. "We believe that Petra brings valuable knowledge and international expertise to the financial department and we look forward to working with her to further increase the growth of our company worldwide."
