INsecurity Conference Seeks Security Pros to Speak on Best Practices
Dark Reading's second annual data defense conference will be held Oct. 23-25 in Chicago; call for speakers is issued.
INsecurity, Dark Reading's annual conference on data defense, this week is issuing a call for security practitioners to speak on key issues and best practices for protecting enterprise data.
The call for speakers invites security professionals from any enterprise to present on leading-edge methods, processes, and technologies they use to defend critical data. The talks chosen from the call for speakers will be presented at INsecurity in Chicago, Oct. 23-25.
Insecurity, which was held for the first time in Washington, D.C. last November, is a conference that allows IT and security pros to share information about what works - and what doesn't - in cybersecurity defense. Most of the speakers in the sessions are themselves security practitioners, and some sessions are protected by the Chatham House Rule, which allows attendees to share the information they hear but not the identities of the speakers.
The INsecurity call for speakers seeks proposals on a wide variety of data defense practices, including cloud security, application security, incident response, identity management, mobile security, intelligence analysis, malware defense, risk management, compliance practices, endpoint security, and other processes or disciplines commonly used for enterprise defense.
Proposals will be chosen on the basis of their usefulness to an audience of IT and security professionals and the ability of the speaker to show practical experience on the topic. No vendor product presentations will be accepted in this call for speakers, though there will be vendor presentations in the exhibit hall.
Additional information about the INsecurity program, as well as registration for the conference Oct. 23-25 at the Sheraton Chicago will be posted in the near future.
