SAN JOSE, Calif. -- NeoAccel, developer of third-generation VPN solutions, today announced that American Century Casualty Company (ACCC) has deployed its SSL VPN-Plus solution to enable secure and trouble-free remote access for its employees. SSL VPN-Plus will improve customer service and satisfaction by enabling claims managers, underwriters, and appraisers to access corporate files and upload data from field locations or their own homes rather than waiting for the next trip into the office.

Previously, ACCC was using IPsec VPN remote access to selected individuals, but found that the method wasn’t scalable. “Responsiveness to our customers is a key competitive advantage in our business, and by enabling anytime, anywhere access to our network from a standard web browser, we can significantly speed our claims operations,” said Stephen Gentilozzi, IT manager at American Century Casualty Company. “NeoAccel’s SSL VPN-Plus is the only product we evaluated that gave us the granular user access, clientless operation, endpoint security, and the transparent Active Directory Integration we were looking for.”

With NeoAccel’s SSL VPN-Plus solution, ACCC is enabling on-site appraisers to securely upload estimates and photographs from their own laptops or computers owned by body shops, thereby streamlining response times to deliver a competitive and productivity advantage. Another key to SSL VPN-Plus’s selection was its ability to apply user-specific network access to individuals based on job function without complex configuration.

NeoAccel’s SSL VPN-Plus products are the only SSL-based VPN solutions that do not degrade performance. As a result, remote users noticed response times that were even faster than their previous solution.

“Customers like American Century Casualty are discovering that they don’t have to sacrifice performance when they move from labor-intensive, client-based IPsec VPNs to our technology,” said Michael Susai, CEO and Chairman at NeoAccel. “By using SSL VPN-Plus, these customers can have all the benefits of SSL VPN products with performance that’s equal to or better than IPsec.”
