IntruPro IPS is the first product from Intoto's new OpenIntoto product line, which makes enterprise-class software available free of cost for use by small and mid-sized enterprises.

With IntruPro IPS, channel partners and IT managers can easily create and deploy robust, enterprise-ready security devices using off-the-shelf x86 server hardware. IntruPro IPS prevents external and internal intruders from exploiting vulnerabilities and misusing privileges in networks and applications. It uses multiple detection methods including signature detection, protocol anomaly and traffic anomaly, resulting in a near zero rate of false alarms. IntruPro IPS plugs into the network, either in front of or behind an existing firewall, without changes to the overall network configuration.

Traffic / Bandwidth Management IntruPro IPS also identifies bandwidth intensive peer-to-peer applications such as instant messaging, and enables administrators to monitor and control bandwidth usage, thereby preserving availability of sufficient bandwidth for mission critical and productive applications and services.
