WOBURN, Mass. -- Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, today announced that they are joining the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) to support the Trusted Network Connect (TNC) open standards, a set of non-proprietary specifications that enables the application and enforcement of security requirements for endpoint devices connecting to a network. Supporting TNC allows Kaspersky to work with leading network security vendors, such as Juniper Networks, in a standards based fashion. Kaspersky's virus and spyware protection with Juniper Networks' line of firewall/IPsec virtual private network (VPN) security appliances and Unified Access Control solutions would enable enterprises to easily leverage these best-in-class technologies in a new open format to better protect their networks.

"Kaspersky's expertise with secure content management is an important addition to the Trusted Network Connect effort," said Steve Hanna, co-chair of the Trusted Network Connect Sub Group in the Trusted Computing Group and a distinguished engineer at Juniper Networks, Inc. "Their support strengthens and reinforces the TNC's open standards approach to Network Access Control. This is a network effect where every new TNC participant causes a greater increase in the value of the TNC architecture and specifications."

"Kaspersky Lab is pleased to join TCG and support this important initiative. It's a business necessity to utilize a comprehensive approach for customers to control network security. The combination of our protection against viruses, trojans, spyware and other Internet attacks with leading network security appliances, like the Juniper products, leads to a robust solution for complete infrastructure security," said Steve Orenberg, president, Kaspersky Lab, Inc.
