Mazu Delivers Next-Gen WAN Visibility
Mazu Networks delivers next-generation WAN visibility for Riverbed's WDS customers
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Mazu Networks, the leading[1] provider of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) systems, today announced a partnership with Riverbed Technology, the performance leader in wide-area data services (WDS). This alliance, through the Riverbed Technology Alliance (RTA) program, allows Mazu Networks to offer Riverbed® customers an innovative WAN visibility solution for accelerated WAN applications and traffic.
Riverbed customers that deploy Mazu Networks’ solutions will gain superior WAN visibility through the Mazu Profiler™ Network Behavior Analysis system, which provides a unique understanding of the WAN environment by automatically detecting meaningful changes from typical usage by interface, application or user. The visibility provided by Mazu Profiler, using network traffic flow exports from Riverbed’s Steelhead® WDS products and existing routers, allows customers to identify which links are the best candidates for acceleration and to analyze the WAN traffic by or between sites. The solutions enable rapid incident resolution by allowing the WAN manager to pivot the data view by user, interface, application, site or system.
Riverbed and Mazu Networks have tested the integration of their products to ensure simple and quick deployment in the field. Current customers, such as Willis North America, Inc., one of the world's leading risk management and insurance intermediaries, have already started to benefit from the alliance.
“Riverbed has made it possible for Willis to successfully consolidate global data centers into a single location,” said Eoghan Doyle, director, infrastructure and operations, Willis North America, Inc. “The acceleration provided by Riverbed’s solutions has enabled us to complete the consolidation while maintaining business application performance across international networks.”
