SAN JOSE, Calif. -- NeoAccel, the emerging leader in secure network access solutions, today announced that The Menninger Clinic has deployed its SSL VPN-Plus™ product to upgrade remote access security. Founded in 1925 in Kansas and now located in Houston, Texas, The Menninger Clinic is one of the ten most respected psychiatric centers in the world. NeoAccel’s SSL VPN-Plus solution has simplified and improved remote access and security management for Menninger’s remote users nationwide.

The Menninger Clinic had previously relied on an IPSec VPN system, but found that the ease of deployment, high performance, and choice of three client implementation models made SSL-VPN Plus a clearly superior solution. “SSL VPN-Plus was like a breath of fresh air from a network security perspective,” said Terry Janis, director of Information Technology at The Menninger Clinic. “We were very impressed with the comprehensive endpoint security, and our numerous remote users have noticed a definite improvement in access performance.”

SSL VPN-Plus has been rapidly displacing older IPSec-based VPN systems since its debut in early 2006. With performance that outruns many IPSec VPN solutions as well as all other SSL VPN products on the market, SSL VPN-Plus simplifies remote access control while in many cases actually improving application response time.

“Our focus as a company has been on applying our industry-leading operating system expertise to security challenges both inside and outside of the corporate network firewall, because we believe that real network security involves not just Layer 2 and 3, but Layers 2 through 7,” said Michel Susai, chairman and CEO of NeoAccel. “Customers like The Menninger Clinic see the value of this approach with a faster, more transparent and more robust VPN solution from day one.”
