PALTO ALTO, Calif. -- PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data security and encryption solutions, today announced the availability of significant application upgrades across its portfolio, including new versions of PGP® Whole Disk Encryption, PGP Universal™ Server, PGP Universal™ Gateway Email, and PGP® Desktop. The company also announced the availability of PGP® NetShare, which enables teams to manage and share encrypted network-based files. These PGP® Encryption Platform–enabled applications are designed to meet customer requirements for rapidly deployable encryption solutions with consistent policy enforcement and key management. Recently designated as the lead vendor in use for both email and data encryption software in a survey of Fortune® 1000 companies by TheInfoPro, PGP Corporation continues to raise the bar for delivering comprehensive, cost-effective encryption solutions for global enterprises of all sizes.

Facing highly publicized data breaches, regulatory pressures, and compliance concerns that negatively affect brands, global organizations are increasingly looking to deploy integrated, corporate-wide encryption solutions. Many of the available approaches present serious challenges, however. Numerous applications to manage and resulting content silos create costly, unnecessary burdens on IT teams. Unlike point products that address a single threat or cobbled-together product suites that lack integration, the PGP Encryption Platform delivers a single, leveraged infrastructure that reduces IT operational costs and eliminates the duplicative tasks, systems, training, and support issues that plague other approaches. The PGP Encryption Platform is deployed with the first PGP application installed, enabling organizations to reap best-in-class encryption in phases or as business requirements emerge and evolve.

“Customer and partner data security remains a top focus for global executives, and PGP Corporation delivers with a complete architecture and infrastructure for this critical information,” said Phillip Dunkelberger, president and CEO of PGP Corporation. “We continue to build comprehensive solutions that enable our customers to rapidly and cost-effectively mitigate today’s risks and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threats.”
