NEW YORK -- Promisec™ Ltd, a leading provider of clientless endpoint security management (CESM) technology, today announced enhancements to its award-winning Promisec Spectator™ Professional software to deliver greater user flexibility and improved performance for the most advanced level of protection over network endpoints, including servers, workstations, desktops and other network computing systems for optimal business continuance. Promisec is the industry’s first and only agentless endpoint security management solution provider to offer comprehensive insight into endpoint behavior and policy compliance, as well as automated remediation capabilities.

Promisec Spectator Professional provides near real-time, centralized endpoint security and management of third-party security applications to ensure the integrity of data and maintain business continuity. Enhancements to Promisec Spectator Professional include several features that provide greater visibility into the endpoints and increased user flexibility as well as improved inspection performance. Promisec Spectator Professional will now alert when the host anti-virus definition file is outdated, in addition to its ability to identify when the anti-virus is uninstalled or down and repair it, this enables enterprises to manage their desktop security agents and insure they are up to date and running. Promisec Spectator Professional now detects applications that are at the endpoint even if it is not currently installed; malicious employees will sometimes try to uninstall unapproved or potentially threatening applications, this feature means that uninstalling the application will no longer hide them. With the release of Windows Vista, Promisec has made sure all its products support it.

“The features we’ve added to Spectator address the requirements of our rapidly growing customer base as well as the potential threats that are revealed by security audits we regularly conduct with new customers,” said Roni Suchowski, Director of R & D at Promisec. “These enhancements further extend Promisec’s leadership in the clientless endpoint security management sector and we look forward to continuing to provide our customers with solutions that focus on ensuring that all endpoints in the network are in compliance with corporate policy.”
