Provilla Partners With BigFix
Provilla announced a new technology partnership agreement with BigFix
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Provilla, Inc., a leading provider of ultra-accurate, intelligent endpoint solutions for data leak prevention, today announced a new technology partnership agreement with BigFix(r) Inc. The companies will provide customers with a highly scaleable, real-time visibility and control-based data leak prevention (DLP) solution, for both desktop and mobile laptop/notebook computers, online or offline, and on corporate or public networks.
"We are very excited to partner with BigFix to deliver a best-of-breed DLP solution to large enterprise customers," said Antonio J. Espinosa, CEO of Provilla, Inc. "This agreement represents a significant validation of Provilla's unique endpoint-based DLP technology, and enables this technology to be delivered to highly distributed and complex customer environments through the BigFix platform."
Using Provilla's patented DataDNA(tm) data leak prevention technology, the BigFix agent detects and stops leaks of sensitive data at rest, in motion and in use by corporate desktops, branch offices and mobile workers, and reports the results real time via the BigFix console. Unlike other solutions that only monitor e-mail or removable media, this unique DLP solution can intelligently enforce security policies by effectively blocking all exits, including e-mails, as well as any type of attached device.
"Global and distributed organizations must move beyond legacy IT security approaches that are focused around protecting physical assets - networks and systems - to protecting the critical data they house and manipulate," said Gregory Toto, vice president, products and operations for BigFix Inc. "With the combined BigFix/Provilla solution, IT organizations can now enforce security where it is most needed - around the data on the endpoint - at global scale, connected or disconnected from the corporate network. Most important, because of the unique architecture of the BigFix platform, the combined DLP solution is non-intrusive to end-users, enabling them to work unhindered, but continuously preventing any violations of data policies."
