Spyrus Suite Is Entrust-Ready
Spyrus Suite B-enabled hardware security products achieve Entrust Ready status
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- SPYRUS, Inc., an innovator in portable high-security hardware and software cryptography products, today announced that SPYRUS Rosetta Series II Smart Cards and USB tokens, LYNKS Hardware Security Modules, and the groundbreaking Hydra PC Series II encryption devices have achieved Entrust Ready™ status. The Entrust Ready designation is awarded by Entrust, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTU), a world leader in securing digital identities and information, and validates products and services that have been tested for compatibility and interoperability with Entrust Authority™ Security Manager 7.1 and Entrust Entelligence® Security Provider for Windows 8.0.
The SPYRUS security devices employ on-board Suite B cryptography to securely store Entrust digital identities. Suite B is a set of advanced, unclassified cryptographic algorithms approved by the National Security Agency (NSA) to protect U. S. Government classified and unclassified data. Suite B algorithms include Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) prime elliptic curves, Advanced Encryption Standard, and the SHA-2 series of hash functions, as defined by the NSA. The SPYRUS security devices also fully support applications using traditional algorithms such as RSA, SHA-1 and 3DES.
“We are pleased to designate Entrust Ready status for SPYRUS security devices,” said Entrust Chief Technology Officer Eric Skinner. “This new relationship affords Entrust customers the ability to leverage the high-assurance cryptographic technology for which SPYRUS is best known.”
