Third Brigade Appoints Directors

OTTAWA and RESTON, Va. -- Third Brigade (www.thirdbrigade.com), a security software company specializing in host intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), today announced the addition of Rob Ashe and Alberto Yépez to its Board of Directors. Mr. Ashe is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cognos Inc., and Mr. Yépez, Vice President of Identity Management and Security Strategy at Oracle, is a serial entrepreneur and former founder, Chairman, CEO or senior executive at a number of companies including enCommerce, Entrust, Thor Technologies and Apple.

Third Brigade is experiencing strong growth in its business, and increased demand for its host IDS/IPS as evidenced by recent announcements with Trend Micro and NetIQ. Mr. Ashe’s recognized leadership and operations experience, and Mr. Yépez’ expertise in security and his entrepreneurial acumen, combine to bring unique and valuable perspectives to the Third Brigade Board.
