RAMAT GAN, Israel -- Tufin Technologies , the leading provider of Firewall Operations Management solutions today announced the release of SecureTrack™ 4.1 , the newest version of its flagship product that helps firewall operations teams control and manage policy changes, analyze risks and ensure business continuity. SecureTrack 4.1 incorporates powerful new Firewall OS Monitoring capabilities and is also available as an appliance-based solution, offering unmatched capabilities and convenience for large enterprises tasked with managing sizeable firewall operations and/or multiple firewall vendors. SecureTrack 4.1 is also offered as a software-based solution.

“We’re seeing an increase in the use of third party tools for firewall operations management, especially in networks with firewalls from more than one vendor,” said Greg Young, research vice president at GARTNER. “Compliance and complexity are driving the requirement for better capability in optimizing the existing firewall rules base, and examining the impact of any proposed rule changes. The overwhelming majority of breaches at the firewall are from misconfiguration rather than any wily hacking of firewall vulnerabilities.”

Appliance-Based Solution The industry’s first appliance-based solution drastically simplifies installation and maintenance and provides a single point of contact for support. The Tufin SecureTrack Appliance is offered in two models:

  • T-500 for medium-sized and large organizations

  • T-1000 for service providers and very large organizations

“With enhanced Change Management, Risk Analysis, and Compliance functions, and the new Firewall OS Monitoring capability, SecureTrack 4.1 is the ideal solution for firewall policy management and continuous compliance requirements,” said Brad Reed, director of Internet Security at Miami, Florida-based Compuquip Technologies, Inc., a Tufin channel partner. Reed added, “The introduction of Tufin’s appliance-based solution will make it far easier for large organizations to purchase and deploy.”
