Arbor Networks Introduces 40Gig Threat Management System To Mitigate Application-Layer Attacks

Chelmsford, Mass., December 1, 2009 " Arbor Networks', a leading provider of secure service control solutions for global business networks, today announced the availability of version 5.1 of Arbor Peakflow SP, the industry's leading network-wide infrastructure security and traffic-monitoring platform.

In this release, Arbor is introducing a 40Gig version of its integrated Threat Management System (TMS) which identifies and surgically removes network and application-layer attacks without interrupting the flow of legitimate traffic. Additionally, Peakflow SP 5.1 includes new capabilities to secure DNS servers and infrastructure which are under a significant number of targeted application-layer attacks. Peakflow SP 5.1 is also the first product to offer IPv6 visibility and security " which will help Arbor's customers with the transition to the IPv6 protocol.

The DDoS Threat to the Internet Data Center

Over the years, the role, size and complexity of the Internet Data Center (IDC) has changed dramatically.
