CA Extends Web Access Security Technology

CA SiteMinder and CA SOA Security Manager help JBoss customers with security needs including authentication, authorization, and auditing

(NASDAQ: CA) today announced it has extended its world-class Web access security technology to include support for Web applications and Web services hosted on JBoss Enterprise Middleware. CA SiteMinder and CA SOA Security Manager offer organizations secure access management for Web applications and services deployed on JBoss Enterprise Middleware, including JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform, and JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform.

According to IDC's July 2009 Worldwide Open Source Software 2009-2013 Forecast,* global open source software revenues for 2008 were $2.9 billion, which is expected to grow by 34 percent in 2009 to $3.9 billion. By 2013, that global revenue growth is expected to hit $8.1 billion.

CA SiteMinder enables a highly scalable Web access management system providing Web single sign-on, authentication management, policy-based authorization, identity federation and audit services. CA SOA Security Manager uses centralized security policies linked to user identities to provide XML threat prevention, authentication, authorization, federation, session management and security auditing services capabilities.
