PRESS RELEASE

Irvine, CA - January 12, 2009

Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq:LTRX), a leading provider of secure, remote device networking and data center management technologies, today announced that it received initial orders for ManageLinx in its December ended quarter. ManageLinx is the company's powerful remote product services enablement platform. Using ManageLinx, service organizations are able to easily access and control electronic equipment residing on their customers' networks. This allows them to provide a range of remote monitoring and management capabilities that were never before possible. ManageLinx demonstrated broad international and industry appeal with orders from customers in Europe, Japan and the US, representing the solar energy management, industrial automation and process management industries. Introduced in March 2008, ManageLinx provides simplified remote access to network-connected equipment protected by a firewall. The product's unique Virtual Device Network (VDN) capability enables administrators to restrict access to specific IP addresses, ensuring access to firewall-protected devices without opening a client's entire corporate network to outside threats. Lantronix's VDN enables safe, secure access to only predetermined devices anywhere on the Internet, which is important for managed service providers and original equipment manufacturers. ManageLinx is easy to use and does not require any network changes or installation of specialized client software at the remote site to enable a RPS (Remote Product Service) application or service. Once ManageLinx is installed, customers have a transparent, secure connection to targeted devices, which protects their existing IT security policies. Executive quote "ManageLinx is the market leader in providing secure access to equipment installed behind firewalls, a challenge faced by most service organizations," said Jerry Chase, CEO for Lantronix. "ManageLinx is performing very well and is delivering exceptional performance. We currently have a number of additional trials in progress with companies worldwide. We're excited about our most recent customer wins and expect increased demand." About the company About Lantronix Lantronix, Inc.
