Splunk Closes '08 With Record Quarter

The record-setting year witnessed a year-over-year growth rate of 85% capped by the best quarter in company history. In combination with this explosive growth, the company announced 143 new customers and over 42,000 downloads in Q4 2008, increasing the customer count to over 900 enterprise, service provider and government customers using IT Search to troubleshoot network outages, investigate security incidents, and drive compliance. Customer growth was distributed across all geographies and market sectors, including prominent customers such as Thomson Reuters (Global - Financial Services and Media), IBM (Global " IT Services and Software), Live Nation (Global - Entertainment), Jamba Juice Company (North America " Food Service), Otto GmbH & Co KG (the world's largest mail order company), and the University of California, Berkeley (North America " EDU). Accomplishments during the fourth quarter also included two prestigious industry awards and noteworthy press coverage. Splunk was ranked number one in Deloitte's "Technology Fast 50 Rising Star" awards for its rapid growth. In addition, Splunk was named a finalist in the SC Magazine Awards in the category for "Best Integrated Security Solution." The record-setting quarter included a partnership with F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV) the global leader in Application Delivery Networking. The Splunk and F5 partnership brings the disruptive IT Search and reporting capabilities of Splunk together with the leading application delivery technology of F5.
