Astaro Will Add IPv6 Support

Also in development is version 8 of the Astaro Security Gateway. This next generation security platform will include a new user interface and support for IPv6.

Astaro recently announced the availability of the Astaro Security Gateway Essential Firewall Edition and the deployment of a new licensing model that opened new ways to deploy Unified Threat Management solutions by allowing customers to select the exact applications (e.g. Network, Mail or Web Security) that will solve their specific security challenges. The release of the three new products in 2010, Astaro RED (Remote Ethernet Device), Astaro Mail Archiving and Astaro Wireless Security, is the next phase in Astaro's application strategy.

Customers will be able to add Astaro RED and Astaro Wireless Security to their current security deployment and integrate the Astaro Mail Archiving service with their mail client to automatically archive emails in the cloud and provide the ability to effortlessly search for archived mail.

In addition to the three new products, Astaro is currently developing version 8 of the Astaro Security Gateway. The new version will include support for IPv6, a reverse proxy " Web Application Firewall, admin change tracking and an updated interface. Many of the new features found in version 8 were suggested on the Astaro Feature Request Site, a site that was developed by Astaro product management to receive feedback on current and future offerings from Astaro's partner community and customers.
