Bitdefender Bug Bounty Program Goes Public with Bugcrowd
Security researchers will be rewarded between $100 and $1,500 USD depending on the impact and severity of bugs discovered.
Bitdefender has announced it's working with Bugcrowd to launch a public bug bounty program. This initiative will expand on Bitdefender's private program, which started in December 2015.
The public program will leverage more than 60,000 security researchers on Bugcrowd, a crowdsourced security testing platform. Participants will be awarded between $100 - $1,500 USD per vulnerability, depending on the severity of bugs found on Bitdefender's website, products, and services.
Over the last four years, Bugcrowd has managed hundreds of bug bounty programs for businesses, including Mastercard and Tesla. Its platform lets organizations access researchers to identify and manage flaws so they can build more secure tools.
