Anchiva Joins Anti-Spyware Coalition

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Anchiva Systems, Inc., a leading Internet gateway content security appliance provider, today announced that it has joined the Anti-Spyware Coalition, ASC. The ASC is the worldwide organization responsible for educating end-users about the danger of spyware. Spyware has been broadly used to describe all types of malware and ASC has published a guideline titled “Best Practices: Guidelines to Consider in the Evaluation of Potentially Unwanted Technologies”, that clearly defines the underlining technology that makes software malware.

Anchiva Systems provides network based gateway continent security appliances that can prevent Spyware from entering a company. Gateway based solutions can block potentially dangerous files as they are downloaded from the internet. Some web based threats do not even require users’ action to download to their PCs.
