BreakingPoint Systems launches next-generation network test equipment for content aware networks
AUSTIN, Texas -- BreakingPoint Systems, cutting-edge providers of next-generation network test equipment, today announced the commercial availability of its BPS-1000. The BPS-1000 is the industry’s first network test system that enables multi-layer emulation testing at multi-gigabit speeds in a single device. The system will be the first in the market to offer complete network and security testing of layers 2 through 7 at the highest possible performance levels. BreakingPoint Systems BPS-1000 offers performance testing, stress testing, security testing and conformance testing in a single device.
“For nearly a decade, the network test and measurement market has seen zero innovation. Traditional test equipment is not capable of meeting the demands of today’s evolving networks and applications. The BPS-1000 is based on the latest high speed networking technologies available in the market today,” says Des Wilson, chief executive officer of BreakingPoint. “We founded BreakingPoint Systems and developed the BPS-1000 to allow today’s high speed networking manufactures and their customers to finally bridge the gap between the lab network and the real network that was created by archaic products provided by the existing test vendors.”
“Where we previously required three different testing systems, we can now use the BPS-1000 instead,” said Ken Draper, consulting engineer, security solutions at Juniper Networks. “The ease of use and intuitive interface allows us to extend the testing capabilities to our systems engineers in the various regions with little or no training.”
The BPS-1000 is the complete solution for testing network equipment. The BPS-1000 provides:
Traditional layer 2/3 testing
Layer 4 TCP testing
Protocol Fuzzing
Application Simulation
Generation of over 3,000 security attacks
Full control over playback of captured traffic patterns
In addition, BreakingPoint Systems offers the Strike Pack service, an independent package to assist customers in the implementation of new applications. The package creates unique versions of attacks and any new vulnerability in product. It is integrated in the same test system without requiring a system upgrade.
