Grisoft Adds Rescue CD
Grisoft, the developer of AVG security software, introduced AVG Rescue CD
MILLBURN, N.J. -- GRISOFT, the developer of AVG security software, today introduced AVG Rescue CD, a new offering for IT professionals designed to remove and repair damage caused by viruses, spyware and other malicious programs on computers running Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server. The AVG Rescue CD, which is based on AVG Anti-Malware 7.5, provides critical updates of virus and spyware databases automatically.
Important features of AVG Rescue CD include the ability to update the malware definitions database on the fly. Until now it was necessary to burn a rescue CD with up-to-date definitions before attempting a restoration. AVG Rescue CD also sets itself apart from competing products by providing more complete protection against viruses and spyware, and extensive administration and recovery tools with the ability to update definition files using a hard drive or an external USB memory device.
"AVG Rescue CD is a useful tool for IT pros enabling them to efficiently remove dangerous software from exploited PCs with the same level of confidence they enjoy with other AVG products," said Larry Bridwell, Vice President of Global Security Strategies of GRISOFT. "IT pros will also be able to take advantage of comprehensive administrative tools and features to make them more productive".
