WHO: Opening Keynote: “Compliance Metrics: Strategies for Compliance and Security”

A renowned security thought-leader, Dr. Peter Tippett will open the show with his keynote address on addressing security compliance requirements and deriving the most value from information security practices.

Tippett will highlight how government agencies and businesses can leverage their security controls to facilitate compliance with industry regulations and help avoid security issues.

Attendees will learn how to reduce risk in the enterprise; derive value from their investment security initiatives; and reduce compliance silos to help eliminate redundant work.

Following Tippett’s address, Pam Schancupp, executive editor, Virtual Tradeshows and eSeminars, Ziff Davis Enterprise, will facilitate a question-and-answer session.

BACKGROUND:

Dr. Peter Tippett is a well-known visionary in information security. Previously, he served as chief technology officer of Cybertrust and chief scientist for ICSA Labs. Tippett is widely credited with creating the first commercial anti-virus product, which later became Symantec's Norton Anti-Virus. Tippett studied under two different Nobel Prize laureates at Rockefeller University and has both an MD and a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University.
