Anna Higgins
Policy Advisor, Internet Society
Anna Higgins is a Project and Policy Advisor at the Internet Society. She works on encryption advocacy for vulnerable communities and broadband access for Indigenous communities, among other policy issues. Anna has also previously worked at Next Century Cities, where she worked on municipal broadband and internet access policies. Anna earned her master of public policy and bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Media Studies from the University of Virginia. Her master’s thesis focused on public-private partnership models for a municipal government looking to deploy a publicly-owned network.
