Rob Sloan

Rob Sloan has more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity. Before joining Zscaler, he was the research rirector at the Wall Street Journal's WSJ Pro, where he led a research team focused on cybersecurity, AI, and sustainability. He also wrote a weekly column to help board directors understand cyber-risk. His career began with the UK government, investigating early state-sponsored cyberattacks on government, military, and critical infrastructure networks. He then became response director at a specialist IT security consultancy in London, assisting corporate victims of cyberattacks with investigation and response. Rob holds an undergraduate degree in German and Spanish and a master's degree in modern German history and literature. He earned a Chief Risk Officer Certificate from Carnegie Mellon and is currently studying an MIT Sloan course on the implications of artificial intelligence on business strategy.
