Airbus has announced that its commercial aircraft business information systems were breached and some personal information of its employees was accessed.
According to the company's announcement of the breach, "This is mostly professional contact and IT identification details of some Airbus employees in Europe."
Airbus said that it is investigating the breach and strengthening its existing IT security measures. The company said it informed all affected employees and relevant authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in compliance with Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
